ONE-TWO VICTORY FOR RED BULL in MALAYSIAN GP

FORMULA ONE PETRONAS MALAYSIA GRAND PRIX

After a while big victory for the drivers of Red Bull Racing in the Formula One championship !!!!!!! Congrats !!!!!

This was first win in this season for Daniel Ricciardo and first one-two for Red Bull since 2013 Brazilian Grand Prix.

Daniel Ricciardo who started from fourth position in the race, managed to win after long-time leader Lewis Hamilton retired following a fiery Mercedes engine failure. In second place on the podium climb his team-mate Max Verstappen, who finish gave up the attack on the first position and еаѕy resolve to finish the race. Championship leader Nico Rosberg finished third with drama at the finish after 10 seconds penalty due to improper overtaking Kimi Raikkonen.

At the start of the race Sebastian Vettel ran out of space as he dived down the inside of Max Verstappen coming into Turn 1, and following brief contact between the pair, the Ferrari tagged the rear of an innocent Rosberg, tipping the Mercedes into a spin and dropping him to the back of the field.

Nico Rosberg got going again and began a fight back through the field, rising up to fourth and then barging passed Raikkonen into Turn 2 for third place. The stewards took a dim view of that and awarded Rosberg a ten seconds penalty for causing a collision but Nico Rosberg had sufficient pace to build a gap to Kimi Raikkonen and hold onto third.

Fantastic recovery drive for Nico Rosberg to claim a hard-fought podium.
I believe many would agree with this: "Nico Rosberg is a driver of the day".

Briton Lewis Hamilton had the best time of yesterday's qualifications and started from pole position at today's race. Hamilton had a successful start and had driven the perfect race up until his retirement. In the forty first lap an unexpected mechanical failure of the internal combustion engine with no prior warning, according to Mercedes ended his hopes of a first victory since before the German Grand Prix.

Spanish Fernando Alonso battled his way up the field from last on the grid, having had a 45-place grid penalty for changing engine components, and took seventh position before Nico Hulkenberg and Jenson Button.

Dismay of Hamilton, who had to cancel at the forty-first lap due to engine problems.

The Briton Lewis Hamilton cried "Ah, no, no, no" as he pulled to a stop at the side of the track, climbing out of the car, squatting down and placing his head in his hands.
