US OPEN QUARTER FINALS - MONFILS BEATS POUILLE TO REACH SEMI FINAL, DJOKOVIC INTO SEMIS AS TSONGA RETIRES INJURED

First quarter final match: Gael Monfils vs Lucas Pouille. Before two days Lucas Pouille had fenomenal game against Rafael Nadal, the boy "shined" and surpriced everybody. But today, Pouille was under level and looked tired. Twenty two years old French tennis player, had to let go from US OPEN after being defeat by his compatriot Gael Monfils. This was easy victory for Monfils in three sets 6-4, 6-3, 6-3.
Monfils will play semi-final match for the first time of US OPEN and second semi-final after French Open in 2008.

Second quarter final match: Novak Djokovic vs Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. And this match Djokovic did not have much to play :) only 1 hour and 21 minutes. Tsonga retires with a knee injury in start of third set. Result 6-3, 6-2 , 0-15. That's Djokovic's third win in five matches here by default. It happens sometimes :)
He will face with another Frenchman in the last four, the first semi finalist Gael Monfils.
