WTA TOKYO: First Trophy for Caroline Wozniacki in 2016

WTA TOKYO - FINAL MATCH

Carolinе Wozniacki vs Naomi Osaka  

Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki won the tournament in Tokyo (Toray Pan Pacific Open). In the final match she beat Naomi Osaka from Japan in two sets 7:5 and 6:3 after 1 hour and and 48th minutes game.

In the first set former world no.1 Caroline Wozniacki made 3 break games while Naomi Osaka made 2 break games.

In the second set Wozniacki came to 5:0 in games and made easy finish of the match. 



Road to final
In semi-final Caroline Wozniacki has beat Agnieszka Radwanska from Poland in three sets 4:6, 7:5 and 6:4 while Naomi Osaka has beat Elina Svitolina from Ukraine with 1:6, 6:3 and 6:2. 



This was first trophy for Caroline Wozniacki in 2016, and twenty fourth in her career. Wozniacki was playing in her second final match at Tokyo Open in the last three years and had a wealth of experience on which to draw, despite dealing with a tough season full of injuries and inconsistencies.

"I'm enjoying it at the moment. Injuries happen and you never know when you can be taken out of the game, so I'm just enjoying every minute.
I'm glad that I have the support of the audience while playing against domestic players. I always enjoying in Tokyo. I am very happy for the title" said Wozniacki after match.

By contrast, Japanese Naomi Osaka was playing in the biggest final of her career.
